“You’re an architect at heart,” wrote Le Corbusier to Lucien Hervé. Starting in 1950, the Hungarian-born photographer accompanied him with his camera. The photographs of Le Corbusier’s buildings and those of numerous other architects are imbued with Hervé’s sense for masses and volumes, for structures and contrasts. The intentions of the builders are not only captured here, they are being continued — Hervé constructs with light.
