Swiss artist François Berthoud (b. 1961) is one of the most outstanding fashion illustrators of our time. After starting his career in Milan in 1982, he quickly developed his inimitable signature illustrations and gained worldwide fame through his work for Vanity and Vogue. Berthoud's expressive linocuts and drip paintings have provided a visual framework for countless fashion ad campaigns for the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, and Shiseido. His high-impact images bring art, fashion, and communication together. This publication presents original illustrations, sketches, and samples of his work, allowing the reader to imagine the entire work process.
